My Observations About NYX HD Photogenic Concealer:

Before trying the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer, I had already used the Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Concealer and the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, both of which I really liked. As a beauty blogger and YouTuber, I always enjoy testing new makeup products and comparing them with popular favorites. Since I'd had a good experience with several NYX products, I decided it was finally time to try the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer and see how it performed.

First impressions? The texture is one of the best things about this concealer. It's neither cakey, chalky, nor powdery. Instead, it has a rich, creamy consistency that glides onto the skin effortlessly, almost like butter.

One thing to keep in mind is that it sets fairly quickly, so you'll need to blend it soon after applying for the smoothest finish. I like to lock it in with a light dusting of setting powder, which helps it last longer and prevents creasing.

In terms of coverage, the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer offers medium to full, buildable coverage. It does a great job of concealing dark circles, blemishes, and redness without looking heavy, and you can easily layer it in areas that need extra coverage while still achieving a natural-looking finish.

The pigmentation is impressive. A single layer provides excellent coverage for most imperfections, while a second thin layer can be added for extra brightness or fuller coverage on special occasions. Despite being buildable, it still looks smooth and natural rather than heavy.

I also found the formula to be long-lasting. It stays in place for around 8–9 hours with minimal fading, especially when set with a light layer of powder. It resists creasing well and doesn't easily settle into fine lines, making it a reliable choice for all-day wear.

After using it for several months, I can understand why so many beauty bloggers have compared the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer to the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. While it's not an exact match, it delivers excellent performance for its price and comes surprisingly close in terms of texture, coverage, and finish.

What I like About NYX HD Photogenic Concealer:

  • Lightweight, compact, and travel-friendly packaging
  • Medium to full, buildable coverage
  • Long-lasting formula with excellent staying power
  • Natural, skin-like finish
  • Rich, thick, and creamy texture that blends effortlessly
  • Highly pigmented—only a small amount is needed

What I didn't like About NYX HD Photogenic Concealer:

  • It sets quite quickly, so you'll need to blend it immediately after application for the best, most seamless finish.

Kaurzscoop's Recommendations:

Yes, I would definitely repurchase the NYX HD Photogenic Concealer. I love its natural-looking finish, buildable coverage, lightweight travel-friendly packaging, and affordable price. It performs like a high-end concealer without the premium price tag, making it a great value for everyday use.

BEST 5 BRIDAL MAKEUP LOOKS

Hi My Angel,

A bride's wedding day is one of the most memorable and unforgettable moments of her life. Naturally, every bride wants to make it truly special by adding her own unique touch and creating a look that captures everyone's attention—especially the groom's. The journey to achieving that perfect bridal look begins with the right makeup, beautiful jewellery, and a stunning wedding outfit, all coming together to make her feel confident, radiant, and unforgettable.

Let's start different 5 makeup styles for Indian brides:

1. Smokey Eye Look:

Smokey eye make bride

This is a timeless bridal look that almost any bride can choose for her wedding day. The key to pulling it off beautifully is to keep the focus on one feature at a time. If you're opting for bold, smoky eyes, balance the look with soft, neutral, or nude lips instead of a dramatic lip color. This creates a perfect harmony and prevents the makeup from looking overpowering.

A well-blended smoky eye instantly adds depth and definition to the eyes, making them the center of attention while giving you a glamorous, elegant, and unforgettable bridal look. Pair it with flawless skin, subtle blush, and radiant highlighter for a sophisticated finish that photographs beautifully from every angle.

2.Simple Soft Look:

This is a classic vintage-inspired bridal look that never goes out of style. The beauty of this look lies in its simplicity and elegance. The makeup should be soft and well-blended, with no harsh lines, heavy contouring, or overly dramatic elements. Think naturally defined eyes, a flawless complexion, soft rosy or nude lips, and a perfectly placed round bindi at the center of the forehead.

Traditional jewellery, neatly styled hair, and a graceful drape complete this timeless bridal aesthetic. This look exudes sophistication and old-world charm, making you stand out in the most elegant way. If you love traditional beauty with a touch of nostalgia, this vintage bridal look is the perfect choice, creating photographs that remain beautiful and timeless for years to come.

3.Contrast Makeup :

A contrast bridal makeup look is perfect for brides who want to stand out and make a bold style statement. Instead of matching your makeup to the main color of your bridal outfit, the makeup complements the accent colors in your lehenga or saree. For example, if you're wearing a red lehenga with sky-blue embroidery or stone work, your eye makeup can feature beautiful shades of sky blue rather than red.

This creates a striking contrast that enhances your overall bridal look without overpowering it. When paired with balanced lips and flawless skin, contrast makeup adds a modern, fashionable twist to traditional bridal beauty, ensuring you look unique, elegant, and unforgettable in the crowd.

4:Focus on Contour and Highlighter Makeup:

If you love a sculpted, camera-ready look, contour and highlighter makeup is the perfect choice. This style focuses on expertly defining your facial features with strategic contouring and luminous highlighting to create depth, dimension, and a naturally lifted appearance.

The makeup is complemented with beautifully defined eyes, perfectly shaped brows, fluttery lashes, and bold or statement lips that complete the glamorous bridal look. Every feature is enhanced while maintaining a seamless, flawless finish.

This technique is especially ideal for bridal photography, pre-wedding shoots, receptions, and evening events, as it photographs beautifully under both natural light and professional camera flashes. The expertly blended contour and radiant highlights ensure your face looks well-defined from every angle without appearing harsh.

The result is a glamorous, elegant, and picture-perfect bridal look with sharp, sculpted features, glowing skin, and a timeless finish that lasts throughout your special day.

5: Bold Lips or Bold Eye Makeup:

This makeup style is all about creating a striking focal point by emphasizing either the eyes or the lips for a balanced yet glamorous look.

If you want to highlight your eyes, the makeup features bold, well-defined eyeliner, richly applied kohl (kajal) along the lower lash line, voluminous lashes, and beautifully blended eyeshadow. This combination makes the eyes appear bigger, more expressive, and captivating. The look is completed with soft nude or pink lips to keep the focus on the eyes.

If you prefer to make your lips the statement feature, the eye makeup is kept elegant and subtle with a thin eyeliner, soft neutral eyeshadow, and natural-looking lashes. This allows a vibrant, bold lipstick—such as classic red, deep berry, plum, or rich coral—to become the center of attention and instantly elevate your overall look.

Whether you choose bold eyes or bold lips, the key is achieving the perfect balance so your makeup looks sophisticated rather than overpowering. This style is ideal for brides, engagement ceremonies, cocktail parties, receptions, and festive celebrations, creating a timeless, elegant look that photographs beautifully throughout the event.
