When it comes to makeup, I believe the eyes are the most beautiful feature to enhance. While black mascara is a timeless classic, there's no harm in stepping out of your comfort zone and experimenting with fun, vibrant colors. A pop of colored mascara can instantly make your eye makeup look more unique, fresh, and eye-catching.

Being a complete makeup enthusiast, I couldn't resist trying the Colorbar Starry Blue Mascara, and after using it, I'm ready to share my honest experience with you. As always, this review is based entirely on my personal opinion after purchasing and testing the product myself.

Before this, I was using the Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara, which I absolutely loved. So naturally, I was excited to see how this colorful mascara would compare and whether it could earn a place in my everyday makeup routine.

MY OBSERVATIONS:

Before trying this mascara, I was using the Maybelline Falsies Volum' Express Waterproof Mascara, which I really liked. However, I wanted to experiment with something more fun and dramatic instead of sticking to the usual black mascara. That's when I came across the Colorbar Starry Eye Mascara range, and the vibrant shades instantly caught my attention.

The Colorbar Starry Eye Mascara is available in three beautiful shades:

• Starry Blue

• Starry Green

• Starry Mauve

Among these, I chose Starry Blue because I thought it would add a bold yet wearable pop of color to my eye makeup and make my lashes stand out beautifully.

The moment I spotted the Colorbar Starry Blue Mascara, I simply couldn't resist buying it. I had been searching for a colorful mascara for the past few weeks, and since I didn't want to wait to order one from overseas, I was excited to find the Colorbar Starry Eye Mascara range available locally.

Although all three shades looked beautiful, Starry Blue instantly stood out to me. It's the brightest and most vibrant shade in the collection, making it clearly visible on the lashes and adding a fun pop of color to any eye makeup look. After comparing all three shades, I finally chose Starry Blue, and I was excited to give this bold blue mascara a try.

After seeing all three shades, Starry Blue instantly caught my attention. It has a bold, vibrant color that makes the eyes look striking and incredibly attractive. Ahem... Ahem... 😉 It definitely adds a playful and glamorous touch to any makeup look.

I've worn this mascara to several parties, and it has never disappointed me. Every time I wear it, my eyes become the center of attention. The bright blue lashes make your eyes look so captivating that people can't help but notice them. Trust me, they'll look twice!

Application Tip: For the best color payoff, apply the mascara to both the upper and underside of your lashes. Start by coating the top of your lashes, then apply another coat from underneath to ensure every lash is evenly covered.

Since blue isn't a natural lash color, coating both sides of the lashes helps the vibrant Starry Blue shade stand out beautifully from every angle. This technique makes your eyes look brighter, bolder, and more defined.

I also love that this mascara works well for both daytime and evening makeup. Apply a single coat for a subtle pop of color during the day, or build up the intensity with additional coats for a dramatic party or evening look.

The staying power of this mascara is excellent. It easily lasts 6–7 hours without fading or smudging, and I found it to be completely waterproof during wear. The pigmentation is outstanding—the vibrant blue color shows up beautifully on the lashes, making them the focal point of any makeup look.

As a makeup lover, I like to call it a little gift from the mermaids! 🧜‍♀️ If someone can't stop looking at your eyes, trust me, this mascara is worth every glance.

Because of its waterproof formula, removing it takes a little extra time, so I recommend using a good oil-based or waterproof eye makeup remover. Personally, I don't mind the extra effort because this has become one of my favorite mascaras.

Before using it, I was worried that a colored mascara might make my lashes feel stiff or uncomfortable, but thankfully it doesn't. It feels comfortable to wear and doesn't cause any irritation, burning, or tingling around the eyes. It also holds the curl of my lashes quite well, and if you use an eyelash curler beforehand, you'll achieve an even more defined and dramatic look.

The formula has a rich, creamy texture, which means it takes slightly longer to dry. If you apply too many coats, it may create a few clumps, but they can easily be separated with an eyelash comb for a smoother finish.

The only downside is that some people may find it a little expensive, especially since colorful mascaras are still considered more of a fun makeup experiment than an everyday essential in India. However, if you enjoy trying bold makeup looks and want to add a unique pop of color to your eye makeup, I think it's definitely worth trying.
