Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation Colour:

One thing I absolutely love about this foundation is its shade range — it comes in 30 different shades, catering to almost every skin tone out there. That kind of variety makes it so much easier to find the perfect match for your complexion.

I personally use the shade CHAI 210B, which is actually a touch lighter than my natural skin tone, but I still love how it looks on me. If you're looking for a closer match to most Indian skin tones, Amaretti 310G tends to work really well. As for CHAI 210B, it's a light shade with beige and golden undertones — perfect if you like a slightly brightening effect.

Packaging:

The foundation comes packaged in a super luxurious plastic bottle fitted with a pump — and honestly, it doesn't feel cheap or flimsy at all. In fact, it's designed so well that it almost looks and feels like glass.

This sleek bottle sits inside a black outer box, which has all the product details printed on it. Plus, it's compact and sturdy enough to make it really travel-friendly — perfect for tossing into your bag on the go.

Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation Texture:

This foundation has a medium texture — not too runny, not too thick — which makes it really easy to work with on the skin. Since I have quite dry skin, I like to mix in a bit of moisturizer or a few drops of face oil before applying it, just to add that extra glowy touch to my makeup.

My experience with Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation:

Before this, I had tried a few other foundations, including the Mac Pro Longwear Nourishing Waterproof Foundation and the Clinique Even Better Makeup Foundation SPF 15. But ever since I switched to the Huda Beauty Faux Filter Foundation, there's been no looking back. I've been using it for over a year now, and I'm currently on my second bottle — that itself says a lot about how much I love this product!

Honestly, this foundation feels almost magical. It offers true full coverage and does an amazing job of hiding imperfections. What really impresses me is how highly pigmented it is — a little goes a long way, and it blends beautifully to camouflage pigmentation, blemishes, and uneven skin tone, giving that soft, filtered finish everyone talks about. It's also incredibly easy to apply without much effort.

One thing to note is that it doesn't contain SPF, which actually works in its favour if you're someone who takes a lot of flash photography — no worries about that dreaded white flashback effect.

Before applying any foundation, it's important to prep your skin properly. I always start with a good moisturizer, followed by a primer — my go-to is the Benefit Cosmetics The Porefessional Face Primer. If your skin tends to be on the drier side, using a hydrating primer or a few drops of face oil beforehand really helps. Once your skin is prepped, that's when you go in with your foundation for that flawless, long-lasting makeup look.

This Faux Filter Foundation gives a matte finish, which is great, but if you have dry skin like me, you can easily mix it with a moisturizer or face oil to get a more dewy, radiant finish instead.

What I love most is that it's completely waterproof and smudge-proof, with a staying power of 7-8 hours or even more — which is honestly so impressive. Once applied, it stays put through long working hours without budging. So if you have a party or function to attend, trust me, this foundation is the perfect pick to help you create a stunning, long-lasting look.

Pros:

  • Offers full coverage
  • Long-lasting staying power
  • Doesn't give a cakey look
  • Paraben-free
  • Sulphate-free
  • Doesn't cause any irritation
  • Blends seamlessly for a natural finish

Cons:

  • On the pricier side
  • Can feel a bit dry if you have dry skin type (though mixing it with a moisturizer or face oil helps)

This is a highly recommended foundation if you're looking to achieve that high-end, flawless makeup look. Whether it's a party, function, or any special occasion, this one truly delivers and makes for the perfect pick to elevate your entire look.
