Shortly after  Fashion month  came to an end, Riccardo Tisci   brought the fashion crowd back to  London to present his  Fall /Winter 2022 collection for  Burberry ."The collection embodies an intangible essence that is Britishness, honoring the beauty of the past while focusing on the future, said designer Riccardo Tisci of AW 2022 show Burberry Show held in Westminster’s Central Hall in London.

                         

                        

                   

                   

Burberry’s presentation was hot on the heels of the announcement of a collaboration with Supreme, perhaps an informal way of introducing a new youth-led direction. This was stylistically seen in the baseball caps, logo-ed jerseys, England sweaters and deconstructed trench coats on the catwalk. The collection was a celebration of British culture, contrasting city with country, pageantry with punk, and exploring the concept of Britishness not as a fixed idea, embracing potential.

Sculptural, crystal-embellished satin headbands were worn across the forehead to regal, crownlike effect, “This season, the Burberry woman recognizes the poetic beauty of the past whilst looking hopefully towards the future,” explains McGrath. Across both collections there was a Burberry youth symbol of the moment: a half baseball-cap, surmounted by an Alice band. At times, it looked like an equestrian leather helmet, at others a mad combo of crystal and streetwear.

“Showcasing a fresh take on English beauty,Building on an ultramodern foundation of surreal starkness, bare complexions were emphasized further by bleached brows; only a sweep of taupe shadow on the lids and a muted nude pout completed the equation.

Nodding to the British grandeur of the past, McGrath decked select visages in “thousands of prismatic crystal couture gems.” Ornate decals framed the outline of one model’s face, with Burberry spelled out along the chin—a design that took hours to apply and perfect.

"Therefore, I wanted this collection to convey that intensity of feeling and to celebrate not only coming together, but the city in which we come together today; the city in which Burberry grew and established a family. To me, London is a place of dreams, a capital building on its heritage and unified by its diverse community and an attitude of moving beyond boundaries – of pursuing limitless potential."said Riccardo Tisci, Burberry's chief creative officer of the AW22 collection.
