It’s been quite a while since I wrote a review! The reason is simply that I was busy enjoying the summer vacations. 

For the past month, I’ve been trying a new massage cream as part of my skincare routine. I wanted to give it enough time before sharing my honest thoughts, so I’ve spent the last few weeks observing how my skin responds to it.

And today, I’m finally ready to share my fair and honest observations about Forest Essentials Lightening and Brightening Tejasvi Emulsion.

This rejuvenating facial massage cream is specially formulated from the ancient Tejasvi formulation in Vedic texts to lighten and brighten the skin. This unique Emulsion removes blemishes and pigmentation by combining the potent properties of age-old Ayurvedic herbs, pure whole cream cow's ghee, sweet Almond oil, virgin Coconut oil and Kokum butter blended with purifying and skin lightening and brightening herbs, root and flower extracts, leaving your skin supple and radiant.

INGREDIENTS:

This extraordinary product takes many months to prepare, as it is first processed from “Ghee” made with Cow's milk. Cow's milk is much finer and lighter in texture than the more creamy Buffalo milk, and requires much more milk to make a small amount of Ghee. This Ghee is then “aged” according to Ayurvedic texts, with pure Saffron, and mixed with potent herbs like Jivanti for firming & toning, Manjistha for refining skin texture, Cluster Fig for clarity and Kasturi Manjal for smoothness and elasticity. This is mixed into earthenware pots and buried beneath Banyan trees for about 2 months. It is then cooked on a slow fire with the addition of some fresh Cow's milk, virgin Coconut oil and fresh Rose petals.

PACKAGING:

First of all, I have to talk about the packaging because it instantly caught my attention!  It comes in a beautiful glass jar with a gorgeous golden screw cap. The whole packaging looks so luxurious and royal — exactly the kind of pretty skincare product that makes you feel a little special every time you pick it up.

TEXTURE AND USES:

The cream has a beautiful reddish colour and a rich, ghee-like consistency. It feels quite indulgent when you first scoop it out, and honestly, it gives you that traditional, luxurious skincare feeling.

I usually start by cleansing my face with Forest Essentials Face Cleanser Purifying Soya Milk. Once my skin is clean, I take a small amount of the Tejasvi Emulsion and gently massage it onto my face using upward strokes.

I like to take my time with this step and massage for around 15–20 minutes, especially along my cheeks, jawline and forehead. The texture makes it quite comfortable for a longer massage without feeling like I’m constantly adding more product.

Once I’m done, I take a soft, warm, damp towel and gently wipe away the excess oil from my face. I really enjoy this part of the routine because it leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and pampered, rather than greasy.

For me, this feels less like a quick skincare step and more like a little at-home facial ritual — something I genuinely look forward to when I have a little extra time for myself.

MY OBSERVATIONS:

I’ve been using this massage cream for around one and a half months now, and I feel that’s enough time to really understand how a product works for me. So, after using it consistently for this long, I think I can finally share my clear and honest views about the Tejasvi Emulsion.

First things first — I absolutely love the packaging! The beautiful glass jar with its elegant golden screw lid gives it such a luxurious and royal feel. It definitely looks like a premium skincare product sitting on my dressing table.

Coming to the texture, the Tejasvi Emulsion has a rich reddish colour and a ghee-like consistency. Yes, it is quite greasy, but honestly, that’s what I like about it for facial massage. You don’t need to keep adding toner or water while massaging because the rich, ghee-like texture allows your hands to glide easily over the skin.

I usually take a small amount and massage it gently using upward strokes. The emulsion gives enough slip to massage comfortably for a good amount of time without pulling or stretching the skin.

And despite its rich and slightly greasy texture, I feel it can be used by all skin types. The texture may initially make you think it would be too heavy, especially if you have oily skin, but when used in a small quantity and as a massage product, I personally find it quite comfortable.

For me, the biggest plus is that it turns a simple skincare step into a proper little facial-like ritual at home. ✨

The brand recommends massaging it onto your face for 10–15 minutes, morning and night, for the best results. But honestly, I have to admit that I’m a little lazy when it comes to following a routine twice a day! 

I’ve been using it on alternate days instead, and even with my not-so-perfect routine, I’m still quite happy with the results I’m seeing. So, for me, it’s definitely a product that seems to work even when I’m not following the routine exactly as recommended.

After using it for my night massage, I can always notice a difference the next morning. My skin feels soft, smooth and beautifully glowy when I wake up. ✨

After using the Tejasvi Emulsion for around one and a half months, I can honestly say that I’ve noticed some positive changes in my skin. My minor spots look less noticeable, and my skin has a lovely, healthy-looking radiance. It really seems to bring out that “Tejas” or natural glow in the skin.

Another thing I love is how plump, soft and smooth my skin feels after using it. It gives my skin that well-moisturized, nourished feeling without making it feel dry or tight.

And one of the biggest plus points for me is the ingredient philosophy behind the product. Forest Essentials focuses on natural, Ayurvedic-inspired ingredients and avoids a number of harsh or unnecessary ingredients, which is something I personally appreciate when choosing skincare.

Overall, after using it for this long, I can say that Tejasvi Emulsion has definitely become a lovely addition to my skincare routine.

WHAT I LIKE ABOUT PRODUCT:

• It has a natural ingredient-focused formula, which I really appreciate in my skincare routine.
• It gives my face a beautiful, natural-looking glow.
• With regular use, I noticed that my minor marks and scars appeared less noticeable.
• Despite its rich, ghee-like texture, I find it comfortable for different skin types.
• I didn’t experience any itching or irritation while using it.
• I especially love it as a massage cream for dry skin, as it leaves the skin feeling soft, nourished and moisturised.
• You only need a small quantity for each massage, so a little product goes a long way.

WHAT I DON'T LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT:

• The price is definitely on the higher side , especially if you’re planning to use it regularly.

So, if you’re looking for a natural, luxurious skincare product and prefer products with a natural ingredient-focused approach, then Tejasvi Emulsion is definitely worth giving a try. 

Yes, it is a little expensive, but if you can stretch your budget for a luxurious facial massage cream that leaves your skin feeling soft, smooth, nourished and beautifully glowy, I’d say you can definitely give this one a try.
