It’s been so long since I’ve been searching for an organic, natural, Ayurvedic facial scrub or exfoliator that I could comfortably add to my skincare routine. Sometimes, no matter how much skincare we do, our face can start looking dehydrated, dull and lifeless. So, after trying and searching for quite some time, my search finally ended with Forest Essentials Hand Pounded Organic Facial Fruit Scrub.
Now comes the interesting part — what did my experience say about it?

The first thing you’ll notice is its deep maroon colour, which honestly reminds me so much of Chyawanprash. 😍 But the fragrance — OMG! I’m absolutely in love with it! ❤️
Every time I open the jar, I’m greeted with this beautiful, soothing aroma. To me, it has a lovely apple-like freshness mixed with the delicate fragrance of dried rose petals. It smells so calming, luxurious and indulgent that even opening the jar feels like a little aromatherapy moment!
Honestly, the fragrance is one of my favourite things about this scrub. ✨

When I use it, I take just the right amount needed for my face and gently apply it all over. Since the consistency is quite thick, I like to add a little water, toner or rose water to make it easier to spread and massage.
Without adding a little moisture, I find the texture a bit too thick to massage comfortably on the skin. Once you mix it with a few drops of water or rose water, it becomes much easier to work with and glides more smoothly over the face.

It comes in a simple white plastic jar with a beautiful golden cap, and honestly, I really like the packaging! It has that elegant, luxurious spa-tub kind of look, which makes it feel like a premium skincare product sitting on your vanity.
The combination of the white jar and golden cap gives it a very clean, classy and luxurious feel. Packaging-wise, it definitely gets a thumbs up from me!
My Observations:
I’ve been using this scrub for about a month now, so I feel I’ve had enough time to really understand how it works for my skin and share my honest opinion with you.
First of all, I love that it has an organic, natural ingredient-focused formulation. Forest Essentials is known for its Ayurvedic-inspired skincare and natural formulations, which is one of the reasons I was interested in trying this scrub in the first place.
I generally use it twice a week as part of my regular skincare routine. I find that this frequency works well for me and gives my skin that little extra exfoliation without making it feel overworked.

I take a small amount of the scrub and gently apply it all over my face. Since the texture is quite thick, I then spray a little toner onto my face and start gently massaging the scrub with my fingertips.
I massage it softly for a few minutes, making sure I’m not rubbing too harshly. Once I’m done, I take a soft, damp cotton cloth and gently wipe away all the scrub particles from my face.
And honestly, this is the part I love! ✨ I can immediately notice a gentle glow after using it. My skin feels soft, supple, fresh and more radiant, almost as if I’ve just had a mini facial at home.

CON'S:
- The price is on the higher side, especially if you plan to use it regularly.
- The jar is quite bulky, so I don’t find the packaging very travel-friendly.
- Because of its thick consistency, you can’t really use it straight from the jar. I need to add a little water or toner to make it easier to apply and massage.
- I personally find the scrub granules slightly on the little harsh side, so I prefer to massage it very gently rather than rubbing it vigorously.
